Hi, my name is Erin, and I orginally created this site as an English Portfolio for my English Class. I am in 10th grade at the Newtown High School, and we are using web sites to publish our work throughout the school year. To read some of my work Go Back to the Homepage .
I have been going to Newtown High School, for two years, and have been living in Newtown my whole life. I am 16 years old, and I have my liscence (its still a big deal to me).
My best friends would describe me as being entertaining and laid back. I like to take things as they come to me, but I am always looking in the future. Maybe its because I have been stuck in the same boring town my whole life, and I want to get out!! So anyway, I am a captious person (I used a vocabulary word!!) finding petty details in everything and everyone, but usually only finding the good qualities. I guess that makes me perseptive. My ex-boyfriend on the other hand would say that I crave change and diversity, which makes me often very bored and restless. Maybe that is the reason for my desire to move to New York City.
The sport I am involved in right now is track and field. I am one of those crazy people who runs for three seasons a year (cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track), but the reason I do it is because I love it. 
Although every season I am running a different event, I usaully run the mile and the 800 meter, which is a half mile. My best time for the mile is a 5:48, but I hope to improve that time this year, along with my 2:35 800 meter time.This is my track buddy Laurie with me at a party. She is wearing a silver dress.
More other love outside of track is singing and acting. My hidden ambition that most of my friends and peers don't know about is desire to become an actress on either broadway or the big screen. The only problem with that breaking into show business is like making it into the NBA.
The stress of being in the public eye, it caused many people to go off the deep end. I use my acting and singing as a creative outlet. I hope to us it to someday write a song, and maybe even a play.
I have enjoyed doing this project of making a website (I actually know how to use my computer now). I hope you enjoy the rest of my site and the writing that I have published.
